This Privacy Notice explains how Master Force, LLC ("Master Force," "we," "us") collects, uses, shares, and protects personal data when you use our websites, courses, and related services (the "Service").
1. Who we are
Master Force, LLC is the controller of the personal data we process about you in connection with the Service. Contact us at hello@masterforce.com with any privacy questions.
2. Personal data we collect
- Account data — name, email, password (hashed), profile details.
- Learning data — courses you enroll in, lessons completed, assignments and reflections you submit, certification status.
- Community data — posts, comments, and messages you share in alumni or cohort spaces.
- Support data — messages you send us and our responses.
- Device and usage data — IP address, device type, browser, pages visited, timestamps, referring URLs, and similar telemetry.
- Order metadata — products purchased, order IDs, subscription status, and the country we use for tax. Card details and bank information are collected and stored by Paddle, not by us.
3. How we use personal data
- Provide the Service — create your account, give you access to purchased content, track progress, issue certifications.
- Operate and improve — analyze usage to improve features, troubleshoot, and develop new content.
- Communicate — send transactional emails (receipts, course updates, security alerts), respond to support requests, and — with your consent or where permitted — send marketing.
- Security and fraud prevention — detect, prevent, and respond to abuse, fraud, or threats.
- Legal compliance — comply with tax, accounting, and other legal obligations.
4. Legal bases (UK/EEA users)
We rely on the following legal bases under the UK GDPR and EU GDPR:
- Contract — to provide the Service you've purchased.
- Legitimate interests — to operate, secure, and improve the Service, and to send transactional and service-related communications.
- Consent — for optional marketing emails and non-essential cookies; you can withdraw consent at any time.
- Legal obligation — to comply with tax and other legal requirements.
5. How we share personal data
We share personal data only with:
- Paddle.com — our Merchant of Record, which handles all payments, subscription billing, tax, invoicing, and refund processing on our behalf. Paddle independently controls some of the data it collects from buyers. See Paddle's Privacy Notice.
- Service providers / sub-processors — hosting, database, email delivery, analytics, error monitoring, and customer-support tooling, under appropriate data-processing terms.
- Professional advisers — lawyers, accountants, and auditors, where reasonably necessary.
- Authorities — where required by law, court order, or to protect rights, safety, or property.
- Business transfers — in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets, with continued protection of your data.
We do not sell your personal data.
6. International transfers
We and our service providers may process personal data in the United States and other countries. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards (such as the Standard Contractual Clauses or equivalent mechanisms) for transfers from the UK/EEA.
7. Data retention
We keep personal data for as long as needed to provide the Service, comply with legal obligations (including tax records), resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. When data is no longer needed, we delete or anonymize it.
8. Your rights
Subject to applicable law, you have the right to:
- access the personal data we hold about you;
- request correction of inaccurate data;
- request deletion ("right to be forgotten");
- request restriction of processing or object to processing;
- request a copy of your data in a portable format;
- withdraw consent where processing is based on consent; and
- lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority (UK/EEA users).
To exercise any of these rights, email hello@masterforce.com. We will respond within one month (and within applicable deadlines in your jurisdiction).
9. Security
We use appropriate technical and organizational measures — including encryption in transit, access controls, and least-privilege principles — to protect personal data. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we work to maintain a high standard.
10. Cookies
We use essential cookies needed to operate the Service (such as authentication and security), and we may use analytics cookies to understand how the Service is used. You can manage cookie preferences in your browser. Disabling essential cookies will impair the Service.
11. Children
The Service is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 16. If you believe a child has provided us personal data, contact us and we will delete it.
12. Changes
We may update this Privacy Notice from time to time. We will post the updated version here with a new "Effective" date. Material changes will be communicated by email or in-product notice.
